My Story

Of course, if you want my full story, you can buy my memoir: "Once Upon A Nightmare: Through the Looking Glass of Narcissistic Abuse." But to give the quick version: I grew up in rural Nebraska on an acreage just south of Lincoln, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a journalism major. After graduation, I moved to Burbank, California to pursue a career in the movie industry, eventually landing a position in Disney Feature Animation's story development department. After a few years, I moved into the realm of marketing and advertising until I followed the call to ministry and received my Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. I've been an ordained pastor in the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) since 2009. I love art, writing, and faith, and seek every opportunity to meld these worlds together. My recent memoir, "Once Upon A Nightmare" is the first step of my childhood dream to one day become a published author, though I'm sad that the topic was about my life and marriage to a malignant narcissist. Typically I enjoy writing fantasy/science fiction stories, faith stories, and historical fiction.
