The spiritual world is felt - but rarely seen. Surrealism seeks to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, that frequently depicts the irrational juxtaposition of images. It is filled with symbolism and unconscious, almost dream-like meaning. Given God speaks to people frequently through imagery and dreams, my art seeks to create spiritual “dreamscapes” of fantastical and symbolic meaning as a means to visually express the divine encounter. Spiritual Surrealism expresses a spiritual world that isn’t quite what we observe, but rather is something we might feel or yearn for.
